ANALISIS KESALAHAN MAHASISWA DALAM MENGERJAKAN STRUCTURE AND WRITTEN EXPRESSION PADA TOEFL PREDICTION TEST

Abstract

TOEFL is one of the international test used for testing the English ability. This test is aimed to students who want continue their study abroad. These students are from non-English-speaker country. In this test there are some parts of skills, one of them is Structure and Written Expression (SWE). SWE has 25 skills that is standardized by ETS. The aim of this research is to find out which skill in SWE that is the most error skill while respondents are doing the test. The number of respondents are 51 sixth-semester students from English Department Bina Sarana Informatika.The results show that the most mistake done by the respondents are in Countable-Uncountable Nouns and Object of Preposition. There are 41 respondents had the wrong answers while doing these two subjects.
