Abstract


A total quality management system is a set of documented procedures and standard practies for the
management system aimed at ensuring the suitability of a process and product to the needs or spesific
requirements. The term total quality management today and is the method commonly used by managers to
provide evidence of controls needed to satisfy customer needs and business leaders. A fundamental element
in total quality management is solving the problem, whose existence is to be taken seriously, along with
continuous improvement efforts. There are several tools that can measure the quality of product or services
ranging from raw materials, processes and outcomes. One system on the quality of products or services that
are widely used by leading companies, even in the adoption several UKM is a total quality management
(TQM), which outlines an approach to doing business to maximize organizations competitiveness through
continuos improvement efforts on the product. The focus of work on a ongoing basis and continuously push
to always perform product development starting from the organization and will provide benefits to company.
Research studies using the concept of literature, through books, internet, accompanied by
observation or direct observation to some UKM, and eventually got the final conclusion as hope can give
input on how to optimize sales of UKM products by applying the concept of TQM in UKM based company
